Mayor cycle plan slammed

Plans by London mayor Ken Livingstone to force cyclists to have car-style number plates on the backs of bikes have been branded ‘impractical, costly and bureaucratic’ by Green Party London Assembly member, Jenny Jones.

She said the scheme would kill off cycle growth in the capital ‘overnight’.
