Mancunians take shelter

Waiting should be more comfortable for thousands of bus passengers in Greater Manchester – thanks to a £400,000 investment in bus shelters.
The passenger transport authority has approved the funds to install 150 new shelters as part of a five-year programme to add 2,000 shelters by 2009. Almost 450 have been installed in the last 18 months.
