Lost fuel revenue will be recovered by spending boost, Treasury claims

 

The Treasury has claimed that its real terms cuts to fuel duty have helped grow GDP by between 0.3% and 0.5% in the long-term, meaning it could eventually recover a large chunk of the £22.5bn in lost revenue over the parliament.
