London: Livingstone sticks with LIP

 
Mayor of London Ken Livingstone has approved Westminster City Council’s Local Implementation Plan (LIP), which gives details of the borough’s plans to promote sustainable development and encourage walking, cycling and the greater use of public transport.
The Greater London Authority Act 1999 says that every London council has to draw up an LIP to show how it will implement the mayor’s transport strategy.
