Locals get say over buses

Dorset County Council is holding a public consultation to find residents’ views on possible improvements to bus services between Salisbury and Weymouth.

The local authority has carried out an extensive study of travel patterns and is now considering its options for improvements to public transport to provide better value.

The council said its aim was to encourage a greater use of buses and it wanted to hear from residents on how the services could be better suited to local needs.

The consultation will close on 11 September.
