Local cycling needs better monitoring, expert says

 

Local authority cycling delivery needs better monitoring, potentially including a self-assessment procedure similar to the one launched for local roads, an expert has said.

Speaking to Transport Network, Roger Geffen, Cycling UK policy director, reacted to recent official figures showing the number of people cycling regularly fell slightly in 2014/15, despite former prime minister David Cameron attempting to launch a ‘cycling revolution’.
