Lighting plans under threat

Plans to install illuminated advertisements on lighting columns in Telford have been opposed by councillors.
Wellington Town Council has voted against Medialights’ proposal to install ten of the adverts on the A518 dual carriageway by the Wrekin Retail Park. The vote came following the Telford & Wrekin planning committee’s deferred a decision when it came before them a second time (Surveyor, 18 May). The application now returns to Telford & Wrekin, which has a contract with Medialights.
