LGA’s low-emission fears

 
The Association of London Government is concerned that the proposed low-emission zone will force authorities to upgrade vehicle fleets without the necessary funds being available. The report, by principal environment officer Jared Boow, to the transport and environment committee states: ‘Some boroughs [are] unable to replace vehicles in time, due to cost concerns.’ Under the proposals, vehicles would have to meet Euro standard III for particulate emissions.
