Joined-up services bid

Worcester City councillors have voted to merge their revenue and benefits service with two neighbouring authorities.
Councillors voted last week to join Wychavon and Malvern Hills DCs in creating a joint service.
The original plan was to also merge services with Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove DCs, but both authorities pulled out of the project.
A Worcester City Council spokesman said the authorities would now draw up a business case which would be presented to the cabinets in the new year.
