Invitation for M25 tenders

 
The Highways Agency has formally invited the three previously-shortlisted groups to submit tenders for the M25 design, build, finance and operate (DBFO) contract.
The successful bidder will be responsible for the phased widening of 101kms of the highway from three lanes to four lanes, in each direction. The contract is worth £5bn over 30 years (Surveyor, 19 October 2006).
The three shortlisted groups are: Amey, Laing O’Rourke and Ferrovial Agroman; Connect Plus (Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Atkins and Egis
Projects SA); and Flow (Vinci, John Laing Roads, Costain and Carillion). The tender period is 32 weeks.
