Industry slams toll hike

A Freight Transport Association meeting has hit out at an increase in rates on the M6 Toll.
The FTA, meeting last week, felt that Midland Expressway ‘does not want HGV traffic’ on its road following the 14% rise taking the total cost to £8.
FTA members say that ever since the M6 Toll opened, the road has ‘never’ been a route of choice for the transport industry, due to the pricing structure imposed on lorries.
