Improved links head south

Cambridgeshire CC has given the go ahead for a scheme designed to improve cycling routes and facilities in the south of the county.

In partnership with Cycle Cambridge, the council has agreed to pump £2.3m into the project to link villages with foot and cycle routes. This is part of a jointly-funded £7.2m initiative.

Roy Pegram, Cambridgeshire’s cabinet member for growth, said: ‘These improvements illustrate the county council’s commitment to provide facilities for sustainable forms of transport. These routes will help link towns together across Cambridgeshire.’
