IOW appoints troubleshooter

The Isle of Wight council is to appoint ten town centre managers to report pot holes and damaged street furniture as part of a £1.5M scheme to smarten up the island’s towns in the coming year.
Acting as council trouble-shooters at grass roots level, the town centre managers will be tasked with identifying public realm work that needs to be done, and ensuring council contractors undertake the work expected of them.
