Host of Highways Awards 2023 announced

Comedian and actor Kerry Godliman has been announced as the host of the Highways Awards for 2023.

Best known for her roles in Ricky Gervais’ bittersweet sitcoms, Derek and Afterlife, as a standup, Kerry’s down-to-earth observations about life, family and laziness have been a hit on Live at the Apollo and on panel shows including Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Is it ever appropriate to use sarcasm in a medical context? What is the best way to instruct someone to be spontaneous? These are the kinds of questions only Kerry asks, and answers, in her own brilliant way.

She’s also appeared on Radio 4’s News Quiz, The Now Show and Just a Minute, and her own show, Kerry’s List.

Her acting career started with appearances in Casualty and The Bill and grew to parts in Him and Her, Miranda, and Extras.

She has also starred in the Netflix comic film Mascots, the BBC military drama, Our Girl, and on stage in the National Theatre’s exploration of immigration, England People Very Nice.

You can find out the finalists for this year's awards here.

Book now to treat your team to the highlight of the highways sector calendar on 11 October at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London.
