Holiday break for workers

Contractors on a flood-alleviation scheme for Torbay council  have had to vacate the site for the summer after works overran.

Poor ground conditions and the effect of tidal working meant the works were not completed before the peak holiday season. Work will restart on the £1.1M installation of a new pumping station in October.
