Representatives from organisations with an interest in transport in the Highlands and Islands have been thrashing out a framework for the future of transport in the region.

The Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership, held a stakeholders’ workshop last week. The findings will be included in a report to the next HITRANS board meeting on 3 November. A draft strategy will then be sent out for public consultation with a final version due to be presented to the Scottish Executive in March next year.
