Group buys HBS for £46M

Support services group Mouchel Parkman has acquired business processing and IT group HBS for £46.3M.

Mouchel Parkman claims the buy-out strategically positions them to ‘become the number one supplier of choice for local authority professional services’.

Chief executive, Richard Cuthbert, said: ‘This is a great development for Mouchel Parkman. The deal represents a significant step, supporting the strategy laid out in our Corporate Plan, the outcome of which is a business two or three times our current size by 2012.’

HBS provides finance and administration services, as well as building design and facilities management.
