Gritters were out in force this week as the extended cold snap continued.
The ~Highways Agency~ treated routes in Lincolnshire, East Anglia and the southwest on Monday after the Met Office predicted heavy snow showers and severe frost already affecting Scotland would push south.
There were reports of difficult road conditions in southwest England, Wales and Scotland as Surveyor went to press, while the Met Office was warning that further snow was likely until at least the weekend.
