Gloucestershire’s flood repair bill could top £50M

The cost of the flooding in Gloucestershire has been estimated at around £40M-£50M.

The estimate accounts for the emergency response, managing the flood’s aftermath, and the likely cost of repairs to property, the county’s infrastructure and the local economy.

The county’s highways team will be carrying out a thorough inspection of Gloucestershire’s roads. Road surfaces are being checked and a detailed assessment of the damage to footpaths, streetlighting and bridges is being carried out.
