Leicestershire County Council has awarded a long-term highways maintenance and improvement contract to Tarmac, valued at up to £8M a year.

The ‘Leicestershire Highway Works Alliance’ agreement will see Tarmac’s National Contracting division working in partnership with Leicestershire Highways. The agreement will start at the beginning of January 2008 and run until March 2013.
