An environmental group has recruited transport expert, Denvil Coombe, in an attempt to show a bypass will not cut congestion.
Buckinghamshire County Council’s plans to extend the A418 are currently out for consultation on plans to concentrate traffic between Aylesbury and Milton Keynes on ‘a single, high-quality route’.
Aylesbury Vale Friends of the Earth have commissioned Coombe, who reports the bypass plans are based on ‘outdated research’ and ‘lack evidence to support claims the road will cut congestion’.
