Free to roam Wakefield

A free bus service is being launched in Wakefield on Monday, in an effort to increase public transport journeys into the city.
The new MetroConnect FreeCityBus will link key parts of the city centre for people arriving in Wakefield by train, bus or coach. Under the six-month trial, the buses will run every 10 minutes from 7:30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and from 8:30am to 5pm on Saturdays.
