East Riding Council is holding a consultation to showcase its proposals for car parking in the area.

According to the BBC, shopkeepers are worried that the introduction of charging in car parks which are currently free will deter shoppers.
Cllr Felicity Temple, chairman of the review panel, said: ‘We were determined that our proposals were not to simply raise revenue. Having said that, maintenance, business rates and enforcement on each car parking space has to be paid for.’
