Footway cycling crackdown in Hull

 
Hull City Council is cracking down on footway cycling after local residents named it a top concern at a recent community safety forum.
The council’s northern area team and the Northern Neighbourhood Police team are to enforce the law and issue penalty notices to cyclists caught disregarding pedestrian safety.
Inspector Iain Dixon, Northern Neighbourhood Team, said: ‘We will be taking both advisory and enforcement action over the coming weeks.’
