Focus will be on CCTV volunteers

Newcastle-under-Lyme BC in Staffordshire is recruiting part-time, unpaid CCTV workers to cut service costs. Stephen Sweeney, leader of the council, said: ‘Ideally, we’d like to monitor these screens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, but unfortunately, we can’t afford to do that.’
