Flood of praise for inquiry

 
The chairman of Gloucestershire County Council’s independent inquiry into last summer’s flooding has welcomed the responses it received from local authorities, utilities and agencies.

The report, published last November, was the culmination of the first formal stage of the scrutiny inquiry into the floods which affected the county last June and July.

Rob Garnham, said: ‘I am greatly encouraged by the number of responses we have received from other authorities, utilities and agencies. ‘We know there is more information on the way, and a great deal is being done to make improvements.’
