Firm named for tram deal

Alfred McAlpine has won the £40M utilities diversion contract relating to the Edinburgh tram project.
The company will oversee the diversion and protection of utilities along the proposed tram route under Trams for Edinburgh’s (tie) Multi-Utilities Diversion Framework Agreement (MUDFA) contract.
Willie Gallahger, chairman of tie, said Alfred McAlpine ‘demonstrated it was the best company for the job’.
