Faster emergency response on track

 
A network of ‘blue routes’ allowing the emergency services easy access around Birmingham has now been fully implemented. The city council said last week that what it claims to be the first UK project to comprehensively review routes designated for emergency services had been fully implemented. It made minor changes to traffic-calming measures on the city’s 246km of primary routes and emergency services helped pick out problems on 257km of secondary roads.
