Fast-track warning signs aim to route out accidents

Work has started on a safety scheme to put a series of warning boards along the A1307 in Cambridgeshire, after it was branded a high casualty route.

Cambridgeshire councillor, Matt Bradney (pictured), fast-tracked the scheme to help reduce the high number of accidents along the route, after talking to local residents.

Investigations showed the majority of accidents along the A1307 were down to bad and inconsiderate driving.

In total, there will be nine notices placed near junctions and between accident sites along the length of the road from Four Wentways roundabout to just over the county border near Haverhill.
