FM Conway score a chance to help Sevenoaks try

Leading infrastructure services company FM Conway has signed a £75,000 three-year sponsorship deal with Sevenoaks Rugby Club.

FM Conway and the club will partner up to deliver a schools outreach programme to help boost local jobs in the area.

The Sevenoaks egg-throwers have five senior teams and 850 junior members. FM Conway’s donation will support continued investment in coaching and youth rugby as it strives to become a recognised centre of excellence for the sport in the South East.

'Who's sponsoring us?' Quick reactions from Sevenoaks Rugby

Trevor Nicholson, Sevenoaks Rugby Chairman, added: 'We are delighted to welcome FM Conway and the team on board as a headline sponsor at an exciting time in the club's development. We are looking forward to working closely with the company, and supporting them in their business as their investment in Sevenoaks Rugby helps us to grow and build for the future.'

While FM Conway has been headquartered in Sevenoaks since 2016, it has been the homeland of Highways magazine for even longer, and although our rugby loyalties are split far and wide, we wish the Kent outfit every success. (Just not as much as the Harlequins - Ed).

Michael Conway MBE, chief executive officer at FM Conway, said: 'Sevenoaks Rugby Club is a brilliant asset to the Sevenoaks area. Its commitment to bringing the local community together and supporting people of all ages and from all walks of life is reflected in our own ethos as a business.

'At FM Conway, we prioritise supporting people in the communities we work in, developing a wide-ranging skills and training programme to support local employment and opening our doors to as wide a talent pool as possible. Our sponsorship deal with the club provides another excellent opportunity to give something back to the local area and support young people to develop long and rewarding careers.'
