‘Exceptional’ payout

An ‘exceptional’ grant of £830,000 was awarded to Peterborough last week for vital repairs to an A15 bridge. The major access route from Peterborough’s south bank regeneration area to the city centre, approved as an exceptional maintenance scheme in 2003, was expanded to include widening and provision of new bus lanes. The extra funding comes on top of the £3.7M already approved.
