End of the road for staff

All transport-planning jobs at ~Lancaster City Council~ are to be axed in June. Some of the staff will be relocated to positions at ~Lancashire County Council~ while others will be moved to the city’s planning department.

The transport department will close in the summer. Acting head of engineering services ~Ron Eckersley~ said: ‘The plans are now set in stone. It looks like transport here has become another victim of efficiency savings.’
