Drivers pilot ‘real time’ aid

The Highways Agency is piloting a scheme to give drivers on the M5 and M6 motorways ‘real time’ information on how long their journeys will take.

Electronic road signs at major junctions will display expected travel times to specific junctions on the motorways, along with details of any delays allowing motorists to make more informed decisions on their journeys.

The trial will continue until the end of the school holidays in early September.
