DfT statistics reveal drop in bus satisfaction rates over autumn

 
Public satisfaction with bus and light rail services in England fell slightly during October to December last year, according to statistics released by the Department for Transport.
The average score for overall satisfaction given by passengers for the bus journey just completed was 80 out of 100, down one point from the previous quarter, the bus and light rail statistics Great Britain revealed. While London services were found to have the biggest drop in satisfaction – down two points on the summer quarter to 76 – the overall rating rose one point in metropolitan areas to 83. Satisfaction with non-metropolitan services was unchanged, at 84 points. The figures showed bus and light rail patronage increased marginally in England during the autumn quarter, up from in index number of 110.8 in summer to 111.6.
