Developers’ sustained effort

A £100M housing scheme has been re-submitted in West Yorkshire, featuring free public transport, increased road capacity, real-time displays and a car-sharing scheme.

The ‘super village’ development, planned for Shaw Lodge Mills, near Halifax, was initially refused planning because of concerns over access.

Developers Hanson Partners and St James Securities have also reduced the number of homes from 485 to 300. A free shuttle bus for those working and living in the development is part of the new proposals.
