Deputy urges Tories to invest in Crossrail

The deputy mayor also commented on the importance of transport infrastructure in his speech to key decision-makers in London. He announced a £200m-300m investment in public realm works.

He said: ‘Some of London’s most deprived areas have no access to central transport hubs. ‘We will work to create a better environment and public realm in these areas alongside new transport links.’
