Deadline set for Crossrail

Organisations or individuals affected by changes in London extending the Crossrail Bill have until 21 June to petition Parliament. The second group of amendments since the measure was deposited, in February 2005, are set out in the Amendment of Provisions Environmental Statement. Changes range from a works site in Plumstead, Greenwich, to a road realignment in Slough, and include an extended footbridge in Westminster, a tunnel for construction of a Farringdon-Liverpool Street station crossover, and a new road and reinstated travellers’ site in Tower Hamlets. www.parliament.uk/about_commons/prbohoc/hybrid_bills.cfm
