Coventry to run red route

Coventry City Council is set to introduce the city’s first red route. It will run between the city centre and Hinckley Road, covering about four miles.

It will be classed as experimental for the first six months to give people the chance to trial the scheme. Feedback will be encouraged to enable potential alterations or amendments to the route.

Cllr Kevin Foster, cabinet member for city development, said: ‘Our first red route will help alleviate the problems of congestion and inappropriate parking, and we have been talking to local people about it for some time.’
