Court backing for Camden

The High Court has ordered a hearing of the judicial review of Camden’s decision to grant planning permission to the £2bn Kings Cross redevelopment.
Mr Justice Collins said the grounds for the challenge – including, crucially, that councillors were wrongly advised that they could reconsider a provisional consent granted by the former Labour administration – were ‘likely to be considered arguable’.
The court ordered developers Argent not to demolish the heritage buildings the campaigners hope to save until the hearing is heard.
