Bus-users in Warwickshire are reaping the benefits of a new deal to provide better-quality transport.
Warwickshire County Council, working in partnership with Johnsons Coaches, has set out to improve the bus travel experience in both Stratford and Coleshill.
This has been made possible by the introduction of four new double-decker buses on the X20 route in Stratford, allowing the Quality Bus Initiative buses which had been operating on the X20 route to be used in Coleshill on the 757 service.
Graeme Fitton, Warwickshire’s head of transport and highways, said: ‘The Quality Bus Initiative is a form of partnership between the county council and bus operators, and is intended to upgrade the quality and image of bus travel.
‘This vehicle reallocation in the county is a great example of what can be achieved through the scheme with people in the north and south of the county reaping the rewards of an improved service.’
