Councils’ Kickstart to better services

 
Local authorities are being encouraged to submit bids for Kickstart funding to improve bus services.

In 2005, North Yorkshire County Council supported the successful Kickstart bid for enhancements on the number 40 Easingwold-York service.


The project saw the enhancement of a rural bus service operated by Reliance Motors between Easingwold and York. An improved timetable provided a 60-minute frequency during the day and a 30-minute frequency at peak times, as well as extra evening and weekend services.
