Coastal protection: Coast protection all at sea

 
Three sites chosen to establish a network of marine conservation areas around the coast have been announced this week.
Environment minister, Ben Bradshaw, said the Haig Fras in the Celtic Sea; Dogger Bank in the North Sea; and the north Norfolk sandbanks and Saturn Reef in the Southern North Sea; are all sites with unique habitats which need protecting.
‘An agreement has been reached which provides the necessary protection on a voluntary basis,’ he said.
