Clamour for improvements

 
Plans to tackle excessive environmental noise along major roads and in two of the most densely-populated areas of Wales are now open to public consultation. The Noise Action Plans cover the urban areas of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, Swansea-Neath Port Talbot and major networks.

Jane Davidson, minister for environment, sustainability and planning, said: ‘The assembly government is determined to do more to highlight and address the issues of excessive environmental noise that can have a real impact on the daily lives of communities, especially those living close to major transport routes
