City faces ‘turning point’

The next phase of Nottingham’s £11.7M ‘turning point’ scheme to improve the pedestrian environment in the city has got under way.
New high-quality paving is being laid on Lower Parliament Street. More than 80,000 leaflets were distributed and staff were on hand to explain temporary bus stop changes which have been made.
When the city centre project is completed by the end of the year, more than 17,000m2 of new paving slabs will have been laid.
