Capital ambition brings Engineer of the Year award

Dana Skelley, acting head of road network management at Transport for London Street Management, has been named Surveyor/ICE Municipals Engineer of the Year 2006.
She is the 22nd recipient of the prestigious award, which is judged by industry peers. She received the award from Surveyor editor, Matt Hobley.
Skelley has enjoyed a productive career in the capital, working for Kensington & Chelsea and Wandsworth London borough councils, before joining TfL in 2000.
Achievements include working on the Trafalgar Square pedestrianisation, Shoreditch triangle rehabilitation, and Westminster bridge fascia replacement. She is also a member of the UK Bridges Board and UK Roads Liaison Group, and is keen to promote engineering as a career for women through WISE (Women into Science and Engineering).
