Cannes you design bridges?

~Warwickshire County Council~ began the hunt for the world’s best design talent this week – in the south of France. A £2M pedestrian and cycle bridge is proposed for Stratford-upon-Avon. The town is being promoted for the first time at this year’s MIPIM international property show in Cannes. Given Stratford’s international reputation, the opportunity to design a new bridge would be attractive to many architects and engineers, including local companies, said ~John Deegan~ the county’s director of environment and economy. RIBA is running the competition. Construction could start in 2008.
