Bypass village gets its say

Residents in Papworth Everard, which is split by the A1198, are being consulted over village centre improvements when a bypass is completed.
The village suffers 1,300 lorries travelling through every day. Between 2000 and 2005 there have been 28 reported accidents.
Cambridgeshire County Council plans a 30mph speed limit, weight restriction of 7.5tonnes, safety cushions and interactive signs.
Work should end by Spring 2007.
