Bucks bus travel up 15%

The number of bus journeys in Buckinghamshire has gone up by 15% over the past year, according to the county council.

The county’s travelling public now clock up more than nine million bus journey a year, up one million on the previous year.

Although the success is partly due to the introduction of free bus travel for the elderly and disabled, the council also attributes it to its efforts to work more closely with bus operators to improve and promote key services.
