Bottleneck relief on way

 
A bypass removing ‘a bottleneck on the trunk road route between the M4 and M5’ in southwest England gained planning approval last week. The 3.3km bypass to the west of Blunsdon, near Swindon, got the go-ahead from the Department for Transport, with the proviso that the Environment Agency’s concerns over the drainage system design were taken on board, and that plans to alter private access arrangements were carefully considered.
