Bosses question priorities

Hauliers are challenging transport priorities in the East Midlands. The region’s transport bosses reluctantly agreed to postpone dualling of the A46 between Newark and Widmerpool.
The Freight Transport Association, however, insists the £250M scheme is urgently needed as a ‘key link to the M1’. It urged the Government to intervene so it could start earlier than 2012.
